About Turtleback Pest and Weed Control

Turtleback Pest Control has been in business since 1980 with the original owners being Bill and Ann Halford. The company was acquired by Jim and Linda Coy twenty-six years ago in 1997. In total, the company has been a staple of Sierra County for forty-two years. Wow! What a history! We wanted to let you know that we have had the good fortune of purchasing the company from Jim and Linda and aim to preserve Turtleback Pest Control’s presence in Sierra County.

Why a pest control company? Louis Schwab has been a self-employed, hard-working businessman for many years. He has also been an employee and understands the dynamics of a working team. His most recent project was the initial startup and current management of the Fast Stop in Elephant Butte. He truly knows how to run a small business. Joanie DeBerry was educated as an agriculturist with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Biology and a Master of Science in Entomology and Biological Control. She has owned a pest control company in the past and has spent much of her career teaching Biology, Chemistry and Health Science. The combined talents of Louis and Joanie will allow Turtleback to move forward as an experienced and knowledgeable pest control service for you.

Our main goal is to serve the existing Turtleback customers in a manner that they are accustomed. Dan Mason and Bonnie Williams will remain your dedicated technicians. With Louis and Joanie both licensed, you will now have access to four technicians, years of experience and flexibility for the unexpected.
